BB (Now Red)

poor bb-he was shot not once but twice

Last week I got a call from Carol. Dave had to run over the the pound and pick up a dog that was shot or he would be put down. He was brought over to Dr Fernandes's office (Dr Fernandes received an award from the Dade County FVMA last weekend for his incredible kindness. ) At that point he was stabilized with antibiotics, IV's and what else he needed. He was shot twice. Once with a BB and once with a real bullet. That bullet remains lodged by the bone on his leg and will be removed on Monday.

Looking at the inhumanity of what has happened to this lovely sweet dog as I sit with my two golden boys by my side -well-I simply cannot breath. We are not sure of the circumstances as we cannot get any information.

All we know is we have to get this dear boy better, find him a good foster home and a good forever.

Its the very least that he deserves.

May 30th update

BB came though his surgery with flying colors. Carol says he is nicest dog you ever want to meet. We are hoping to find a foster home that may turn into a forever home. for more information call carol 305-885-9160

This is how you can help.

June 5-BeBe is doing great he will be going to a foster home nearby for a few weeks.

We would like to find him a forever home.

Thanks so much to my golden community for helping out!

What would we do without you!.

a message from Lorraine -Miami Dade Rescue Railroad

saw this beautiful boy when I was pulling dogs for Rescue from Miami’s
Death Row on May 15.  I thought he had already crossed over, he was so
lifeless, and rattled the cage.  The poor boy did not move.  I then noticed
that he as, indeed, breathing.  I told the shelter manager that we had to
get this boy to rescue, and he said, No, it’s too late.”   I called rescue,
and within minutes a hold was placed on him and Rescue was on his way.  Dr.
Fernandes was waiting to care for him.  What a shame if this poor boy would
have been left to die.

Please, if you visit any shelter that has a Death Row, visit it, even if you
are just picking up a dog.  You never know what lives can be saved!

Thank God this boy did not die there!  Thank God for Rescue!  Thank God to
all who care for him!
