Cooper - Korea

This handsome 5-year-old Golden Retriever from Korea will be arriving soon and is looking for a foster or forever home. When rescued, Cooper was noticed tilting his head—an MRI in Korea revealed a severe ear infection. He’s already received treatment but will still need ongoing care when he arrives.

Cooper is a big, lovable guy who deserves a family that will help him heal and shower him with love. Could you be the one to welcome him home? ❤️🐶   Arriving 2/28.   Adoption Donation $1500 to help cover a portion of the expenses.

About South Korea Rescue Mission

Every year, thousands of Golden Retrievers and other dogs in South Korea face unthinkable suffering. Many are abandoned, left in overcrowded high-kill shelters, or caught in the cruel dog meat trade, where they endure starvation, neglect, and abuse. Others are former pets, discarded when they become inconvenient. Confined in filthy cages with no hope of rescue, they suffer in silence—until compassionate activists' step in to save them.

Golden Rescue South Florida is committed to giving these dogs a second chance. Through our partnership with dedicated rescuers in South Korea, we help pull Golden Retrievers from danger and place them in a safe sanctuary where they receive the urgent medical care, nourishment, and love they need. Every dog is fully vetted, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and prepared for a fresh start before making the journey to the United States.

While their past is filled with hardship, their future is bright. Thanks to the growing movement in South Korea to end these inhumane practices, along with international rescue efforts, more dogs than ever are being saved. Public support for animal welfare is increasing, and the fight to ban the dog meat trade is gaining momentum.

We are proud to be part of this lifesaving mission. With the help of compassionate supporters and adopters, we place these resilient, loving Goldens into forever homes where they will finally know kindness and security.  This mission is expensive, costing approximately $2800 per golden, but so worth it.  All dogs rescued from Korea are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, rabies, Bordetella, DHPP, microchipped, heartworm tested.  Adoption Donation $1500 to help cover a portion of the expenses.

Ruby - Korea

Ruby’s story is one of resilience and hope. Estimated to be around 8 years old—probably older—this beautiful girl spent her entire life confined to a tiny cage in Korea, used as a breeder mom. She was never given the chance to run, play, or even stretch her legs. When our rescue partners in Korea saved her, they noticed right away that she walked funny. X-rays later confirmed that her hind legs are extremely weak due to years of confinement and lack of movement.

Despite her past, Ruby has the sweetest nature. She is gentle, loving, and eager to finally experience the kindness she has always deserved. With time, patience, and regular exercise, she will regain strength in her legs, but she will need a special family willing to support her journey to recovery.

Ruby will be arriving at Golden Rescue South Florida soon, and we are searching for a loving home ready to welcome this incredible survivor. If you are looking for a dog who will return your love tenfold and don’t mind giving her the extra care she needs, Ruby could be the perfect match for you.   Arriving 2/28

Willow - Korea

Willow is a breathtakingly beautiful, cream-colored golden retriever, approximately 2 years old, who has endured unimaginable hardships. Rescued from a high-kill shelter in Korea, where conditions were horrifying, Willow is now on her way to a new life filled with love and safety. She arrives at Golden Rescue South Florida on March 3rd, ready to begin her journey toward a forever home.

During her medical evaluation, Willow tested positive for heartworm, but don’t worry—she will continue treatment using the slow-kill method here in the U.S. The slow-kill approach involves monthly heartworm preventatives that gradually eliminate the parasites over time. This method is gentler, safer, and less stressful for dogs like Willow, reducing the risk of complications that can arise with more aggressive treatments. She will still be able to live a normal, happy life while undergoing care, and once she is fully treated, she will be just as healthy as any other pup!

Despite her past, Willow’s spirit remains unbroken. She is gentle, sweet, and eager to trust again. She longs for a patient, loving family who will give her the warmth and security she has never known. Adoption Donation $1500 to help cover a portion of the expenses.

Oakley - Korea

Hello, my name is Oakley, and I’m a 4-year-old male Golden Retriever from Korea, weighing about 66 lbs. My journey to find a forever family in America has been nothing short of incredible.

I was rescued from the unthinkable—just moments away from being euthanized in a Korean kill shelter. Before that, my life was filled with neglect and fear. When I was first saved, I didn’t know if I could trust humans again. But with patience, love, and kindness, I learned that not all people are bad.

Despite my past, I am a sweet and gentle soul. I love people of all ages, including kind, gentle children, and I get along well with other dogs. I’m smart and eager to please—whether it’s going for car rides, taking walks in the park, or just enjoying quiet moments at home.

I have completed heartworm treatment and am ready to leave my past behind for a life filled with love and happiness. I’m looking for a family who understands the patience and care it takes to help a rescue dog flourish. If you’re ready to open your heart to me, I promise to fill your life with unconditional love.  Adoption Donation $1500 to help cover a portion of the expenses.

Bella Doodle

Whoooo Weee Watch Me RUN!   Life is FUN!   Hi there, I’m Bella! I’m a fun, (used to be fluffy) doodle with a big heart and even bigger dreams of finding my forever family. I am 4 years old, spayed with a tail that wags nonstop!  When I was rescued, my coat was a matted mess, but now I’ve had a fresh start and can’t wait for my waves to grow back into their full fluffy glory!

I’m a sweet and loving girl who absolutely loves being close to my humans.  I mean really close in fact, I love, love sleeping in bed right by your side!  Yep, I am all Velcro and I have lots of fun energy.   So in addition to being your snuggle bed buddy,  I’m looking for an active home where I can go on long daily walks, run free at a park or big back yard, play with enrichment toys, and maybe even have a doggy sibling my size that wants to play, play, play!   Older kids would be the best fit for me, as I’m still working on my manners and can be a bit of a jumper when I’m happy and trust me, I’m happy a lot.

If you’re ready to share your bed, your love, and your time with a sweet, active and fun doodle like me, we might be a perfect match.  Junee, my GRSF adoption coordinator can tell you all the details, so if I sound like the pup for you, email her today  jwarnersales@aol.com   Love, Bella 🐾

Riley

Hi there, I’m Riley, a beautiful Golden mix with the cutest ears and a big heart! Since my family adopted me, their lives have grown a lot—literally! Babies arrived, and at first, I thought I liked the idea of tiny humans. But when they started grabbing, bumping into me, or crawling my way, I realized… little kids are just not "my thing". Now, with another baby on the way, my family knows I’ll be happiest in a home where it’s all about me and loving my adult humans.

We dont know my exact age 6-8?   But I am the perfect size... not too big, not too little.  I am house-trained, and a champion sunbather. I adore walks and quiet evenings snuggling with my people. While I’ve lived with other dogs, I’ve decided I prefer to be the only dog in the house—after all, I deserve to be the center of attention!

If you are looking for a loyal companion who will soak up your love and give it right back 1000 times, I am your girl.      EmaiI Lee Ann   FlaRunkle@bellsouth.net to meet me!

Love,
Riley 🐾

Max & Simba

Okay GRSF Angels...here we go again. These two handsome, loving absolutely perfect 5-year-old, neutered brothers are looking for a loving, absolutely perfect home for them....TOGETHER. They are Max and Simba. They're 5 years old and have never spent a day apart. Rather than describe their perfect Golden traits and just in case the expressions on their faces didn’t say it “all”, here's what their foster Mom Lorie (yes Lorie aka Buddy’s foster mom Lorie🥰) wants everyone to know:

“Perfect family would be someone or a family where there are people around for the dogs to get love from every day.  Both Max and Simba just can’t get enough love and give great hugs!! They’d be great with kids and love playing, or an older person/couple who doesn’t want to train a puppy.  They are happy to just be with people and love snuggles on the couch.  They love playing with chew toys and will walk around with their toys in their mouths. They also love marrow bones and kongs filled with peanut butter.  They are fully trained and have good recall when out in the yard.  No accidents in the house for these good boys!! They are good on leash, but don’t need a ton of exercise to tire them out.  They are simply perfect, and it will be such a joy to see them with a family who will give them the love they want and deserve.

GRSF couldn't have said it any better!   Except to say....what  could be better than one perfectly trained loving Golden Retriever...you guessed it TWO!  Double the LOVE for everyone.    They love each other and love all ages of people and dogs and….they also LOVE to chase!  This includes squirrels, chickens, and cats!  By the way...they were shaved...but you can see how gorgeous they are/will be when their coats grow back in…

Cliffy

Good news, bad news. That's how GRSF feels about "Sweet Cliffy". He was found on the streets in Nassau. He's beyond emaciated, as you can see from his video. He's anemic,  was starving and exhausted. Clearly, that's the BAD news. The good news....REALLY good news. He's been rescued! He's at a wonderful foster home. He's eating all kinds of healthy, home cooked meals. And the next good news.....he's coming to Florida...to be safe in his forever home! It will be a week or so, before we will consider putting him on a plane. So far, what  we know...he's sweet and gentle (of course he is....he's weak and exhausted). But we'll learn more about him, every day, from his foster as he gains strength. He's fine with dogs...ignored cats and walks very well on a leash. He's only doing short walks, for now. He doesn't need to be crated. We can't wait to post the updates and pictures we get. We're mostly wondering....who's going to be the lucky adopter who will get to take him home. We are taking applications . But please, don't expect immediate replies. We're sure there will be lots of Angels who will want to take "Sweet Cliffy" home.    Email Lisa at rjlph@outlook.com
