Golden Rescue South Florida

A Lifeline from Korea

At GRSF, our hearts break for the forgotten. While our roots are in Southeast Florida, our mission has no borders—because suffering has no boundaries, and every Golden Retriever deserves a chance at love, safety, and dignity.

In South Korea, the reality for many dogs—including sweet, gentle Goldens—is horrifying. They are abandoned, discarded like trash, or bred for profit with no regard for their wellbeing. Many end up in overcrowded, filthy cold shelters, where inhumane conditions are the norm. Dogs are crammed into cages stacked on top of one another. They live in fear, without warmth, comfort, or even regular food. Others fall into the hands of the dog meat trade—a brutal industry where compassion is absent and cruelty is routine.  While awareness is slowly growing, without intervention, their futures are bleak.

Due to CDC restrictions, our rescue efforts in China have been forced to pause. But our commitment to the global fight for these dogs continues. We have turned our focus to Korea, where the need is urgent and the suffering is immense. Partnering with compassionate rescuers on the ground, we are bringing these dogs to safety—off cold concrete floors, out of rusted wire cages, and into loving arms.

This work is not easy, it is expensive (it costs $2700 to rescue a dog from Korea), but it is essential.

Rescuing Golden Retrievers from Korea is a vital part of our Global Golden Rescue Mission because:

  • It saves lives from horrific conditions that no living being should endure.

  • It honors our belief that every Golden matters, no matter where they were born.

  • It builds a bridge of hope across continents, uniting kind hearts in a shared mission.

  • It gives these dogs not just homes, but new beginnings filled with love, healing, and joy.

At GRSF, we believe in the power of second chances—and that every Golden deserves one. From South Korea to South Florida, we are committed to rewriting their stories. Because love has no borders, and neither do we.

*Goldens arrived spayed/neutered up to date on vaccines.   Adoption donation is $1500
